PAD-StaR® Light ENGINE

The Pad-Star® system provides a low voltage, ICAO and CAP 437 compliant wired LED lighting system for helipads with both visible and Infra-Red (IR) LEDs.

Both power and communication are carried over a single-pair cable which is connected to every light.

Communication with and control of groups or individual lights is achieved using a secure and resilient proprietary communication protocol and a technique called Power Line Communication (PLC).

This appraoch greatly decreases the complexity of the installation, increases its reliability yet enables sophisticated control and monitoring of the installation and individual lights.

The Pad-Star® is the light engine in the overall Pad-Star® architecture. Lights are available in colours to suit particular installations (see table below).
